Supplier invoices line by line, and a Peppol mark on PDFs

A supplier invoice now keeps every line you enter: the product or service, the net amount and the VAT rate. Mixed rates stay correct, the list shows what was bought, and PDFs of invoices sent through Peppol say so clearly.

One platform for your whole business, from the first customer contact to final payment. Money goes out as well as in, so supplier invoices deserve the same care as your own. Two small changes this week make them clearer.

Every line of a supplier invoice

Open a supplier, add an invoice and enter its lines: the product or service, the net amount and the VAT rate. “Add line” proposes the rate of the line above, and Tavalle shows the net, VAT and total as you type. When you open the invoice again, the lines are all there, ready to check or correct.

The invoices list shows what was bought under each invoice number, so you no longer open the PDF to know what an amount was for. Hover over it to read the full text.

Mixed VAT rates stay right

One invoice can mix rates, for example office furniture at 17 % and coffee at 3 % in Luxembourg. Each line keeps its own rate and the VAT total is the sum of the lines, so the figures you hand to your accountant match the paper invoice. Read more about VAT on invoices.

Invoices entered before this change keep their totals. Open one and add its lines if you want the detail.

A clear mark on e-invoice copies

When an invoice or credit note has been sent through Peppol, its PDF now shows a blue box under the customer’s address with the date it was sent and a note that the PDF is only a copy. The e-invoice is the original, so your customer books it once and does not pay twice.

Supplier invoices are for administrators, managers and accounting; sales people do not see them.
