EU VAT rules and documents in each customer’s language
Reverse charge, intra-Community supply, exports and exempt customers applied for you, and every quote, invoice and e-mail in your customer’s language.

Two new features make selling across borders simpler: Tavalle now applies the EU VAT rules on its own, and every quote, invoice and e-mail goes out in your customer’s language. Both are part of invoicing and VAT.
The right VAT, decided for you
Give each customer a country, a VAT number and a type, business or private. Tavalle works out the rate of every quote and order from your company’s country and theirs:
- Same country: your domestic VAT.
- EU business with a VAT number: 0 %, with the reverse-charge mention for services and the intra-Community supply mention for goods.
- EU private customer: your country’s VAT, or theirs through the One-Stop Shop (OSS) for goods and digital services.
- Outside the EU: 0 %, with the export or out-of-scope mention.
- Special cases, such as an exempt school: the customer keeps its own rate and its exemption note is printed on every invoice.
The legal text is printed on the PDF with both VAT numbers, and the rule is frozen with the rate, so an issued invoice never changes. VAT numbers can be checked in VIES, the EU register, from the customer form, and a rate typed by hand always wins.
Each customer in their own language
Set a language on each customer: English, Spanish or French. Quotes, invoices, credit notes, payment reminders and order e-mails use it, while your team keeps working in the app’s language. A Spanish customer of a Luxembourg company receives a “Factura”, a French one a “Facture”. Requests from our website start in the visitor’s language.
For accounting and sales reps it means the right document, in the right language, with nothing to fix by hand. Book a free demo below to see it with your own customers.
